A roadfood tour of northwest Indiana, July 2010
Hear ye, hear ye! Big announcement!... ... Actually, not so big. I'm just going to prove that some people can't quit while they're ahead by putting together another Chicagoland Roadfood tour, this time of places in northwest Indiana along the IL / IN state line. The date will be Saturday, July 31st, and this date is carved in stone as an out-of-town Roadfooder has already booked his flight to the Windy City. We'll be stuffing our faces at four places ( three of them local mini-chains ) that are favorites of mine and that I feel are Roadfood-worthy: Schoop's ( hamburgers ), BuffaLouie's ( wings ), Zel's ( roast beef sandwiches ) and the non-chain Jalapeno's ( Mexican ). The day will conclude with homemade ice cream at Cunis, an old-fashioned ice cream parlor that was very popular with the attendees of last year's tour. Be there or be
square somewhere else.
