Popeyes chicken in Buffalo - and they draw crowds
Here in the Buffalo, the home of Ted's, Anderson's, Schwabl's (although still closed from the pre-holiday accident), Charlie the Butcher, Anchor Bar, Stevie V's Pizza, and so many unique local restaurants, the newest craze is to stand in line for Popeyes Fried Chicken. Apparently the lines were longer when the restaurant opened. http://www.buffalonews.com/life-arts/taste/how-can-popeyes-fried-chicken-be-worth-a-45-minute-wait-20140108
I particularly like the statement in the comments section about the chance to get terrible fried chicken from a fast food place without going to an airport. Full disclosure: I have not had their chicken and don't know how it and the other offerings taste. I just thought it strange to see all the lines. Now when Dinosaur Barbecue opens here, that's another story.
